This interactive conference will provide delegates with a range of practical information on delivering athletics for schools – both within the curriculum and out of hours – and will show how athleticism can enrich the physical
education experience for the whole school and help to boost the participation of young people in sport generally. The conference will emphasise the role of athletics in the context of cross-curricular delivery and will see the launch of a brand new cross-curricular resource. It will also show how athletics can be at the heart of strong schoolcommunity
partnerships.
Keynote speeches will be combined with workshops offering both practical and theoretical approaches, led by experts in the fields of athletics coaching, leadership an education. A number of skills, awards and competition resources, which schools can use to enhance the sporting experience of young people, will be introduced to delegates. There will also be a chance to visit a wide range of exhibition stands where delegates can obtain additional information.
