Run England is England Athletics official recreational running programme and the fastest growing in the country. Over 18,000 people have got involved in the first year alone so why not be part of it and set up a running group near you?
Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) is a one day intensive training course designed to give candidates the opportunity to develop skills in leadership with a running group. The course covers all aspects from planning and delivering a session to common injury. LiRF is the perfect way to set you up for leadership and with continued information and advice could not be more enjoyable.
You don’t need speed to lead. In fact, the only attributes you need are some free time and a passion to help others achieve. The course usually costs £110 per candidate; however, due to investment from Sport England you can do the course at a heavily subsidised rate, if not for free through North Yorkshire Sport.
LiRF Courses:
Sunday 13th May – Malton
Sunday 24th June - Harrogate
Sunday 28th October – Northallerton
Visit the following website for more detail on the course: http://tinyurl.com/bnha6wn
Leadership is a brilliant thing to do, it allows you to be challenged in supporting people with various goals and aspirations as well as feeling the buzz of satisfaction when you help someone reach their goal, whether it be running their first mile non-stop or helping them develop their confidence to enter an event for charity.
