sports coach UK is seeking to undertake research around examples of excellent coaching practice at different stages of the sporting pathway.
Working within one sport (to be agreed), the consultant(s) will undertake research with coaches and participants (and parents/guardians were appropriate) within sub-groups of four participation populations:
The purpose of the research is to highlight existing behaviours and practices that participants and coaches regularly cite as examples of practice. It is primarily a scoping project and importantly, does not seek to establish an agreed definition of coaching excellence. Nor is it an exercise in determining the needs of participants at different stages in the pathway.
