Established in 2009, Sport Works are a leading provider of sport, health and educational programmes within the North East of England. We specialise in the delivery of high quality physical activity programmes which support physical health and educational attainment within both mainstream and specialist settings. Due to the rapid expansion of our company and the range of services we provide, we are currently seeking a number of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced self employed sports coaches and educational tutors to manage, co-ordinate and deliver our programmes throughout the North East region. The successful candidates must be experienced in working with children and adults and need to able to work evenings and weekends. Applicants must hold at least one Sports Coaching qualification at Level Two (or above) plus a minimum of two additional Level One qualifications. Experience working within an educational environment alongside disabled individuals and/or disaffected young adults preferable, although training will be provided within these areas. University education within a Sports related discipline is desirable. Access to your own transport is essential. Part Time Multi-Sports Coach & Educational Tutor (Self Employed)

Hours
It is anticipated that you will be working between 8 and 15 hours per week. However, the
role will require you to work such hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of
duties and specific hours cannot, therefore, be determined at this time. Your normal hours of
work lay between 08.30 and 19.00 and may include some weekend work. You will be
provided with a schedule of work four weeks in advance. Additional hours may be offered at
short notice.
Salary
£8.00 - £15.00 per hour (inc. VAT) dependent upon experience and relevant qualifications.
£50.00 - £85.00 per day for any full day projects (inc. VAT) dependent upon experience and
relevant qualifications.
Specific salary and expenses will be confirmed in writing prior to engagement.
Expenses
Mileage can be claimed as a business expense at the rate of 0.25p per mile. The number of
miles which can be claimed within any calendar month is dependent upon the total number
of hours worked (information detailed in staff handbook). A mileage expense form must be
submitted at the end of each month along with corresponding receipts/invoices.
Job Purpose
To plan, deliver and manage a co-ordinated programme of high quality, professional sporting
and educational activities which are progressive and reflective of the needs of individuals.
You will play a central role in enabling the Company to achieve its strategic objective of
enhancing physical health, educational achievement and employment for individuals
throughout the North East region.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
To prepare and implement well-structured and progressive programmes ensuring a high
quality, enjoyable experience centred on the needs of the participants.
To manage, coordinate and deliver sporting and educational programmes, encouraging
attendance in particular by children and adults who do not usually participate in sport or
physical activity.
The post holder will be engaged in delivering sports sessions at various sites across the
North East region.
The post holder may be required to work evenings and weekends as dictated by the needs
of the Company.
The post holder will be required to hold Public Liability Insurance.
